Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of rolled oats
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds (or pumpkin seeds)
- 1/2 chopped almonds (or a nut of your choice)
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of salt
Optional Add-ins after baking:
- Freeze-dried fruit such as, raspberries, blueberries or strawberries
- Raisins or chopped dates
Easy Steps:
- Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 160°C (320°F)
- Prepare your Tray: Line a large oven tray with baking paper
- Combine dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix together rolled oats, chopped nuts, coconut flakes, sunflower seeds and chia seeds.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt
- Combine and mix: Pour the mixed ingredients and mix well
- Spread and Bake: Spread the granola mixture evenly over the lined baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown.
- Cool down: Remove from the oven and let the granola cool completely. It will become crunchier as it cools!
